Claw toe - individual toes curve upward like claws

Similar to hammer toe, claw toe is characterized by a pathological and aesthetically unpleasing curvature of the toe. The difference lies in the claw-like deformation.

Here too, the deformation can lead to painful corns. The surgical treatment of claw toe largely corresponds to the surgical methods used for hammer toe, with additional surgical steps on tendons and joint capsules.

Treatment: Depending on the diagnosis
Surgery duration: 15 – 30 minutes per toe
Anesthesia: Regional anesthesia (optionally with twilight sleep)
Postoperative Care: Suture removal after 2 weeks, (wire removal after 4-5 weeks depending on the surgical method) foot bandage for 4-5 weeks
Return to Daily Activities: Depending on the profession, after 0-4 weeks, walking immediately possible
